One of the oldest and largest parades in the United States, the Days of ’47 Parade commemorates the arrival of Mormon pioneers in the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847. The parade features colorful floats, marching bands, horses, clowns, and more and draws thousands of spectators along its route from South Temple & State Street, east to 200 East, south to 900 South, and east to 600 East (ending at Liberty Park). Many families camp overnight on the route to claim spots. Presented and televised by KSL 5.
